What a location! Shaky Bridge Wines are created amidst some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world; Central Otago, New Zealand. Not only is the landscape ruggedly beautiful, the climate is near perfect for growing high quality grapes...the raw product that gives us such high quality wine.
Situated below the southern 45th parallel, the Alexandra Basin is the southernmost winegrowing region on the globe. While this is no small claim to fame, the intense summer heat, long dry autumns with cool nights and warm days allow us to ripen our fruit to perfection. There is no doubt that exceptional grapes make exceptional wines. We are fortunate to work in a place that gives us both.
Cellar Door
The Shaky Bridge Cellar Door is located at 269 Dunstan Rd, Alexandra. We are open for tastings and sales during the summer months and for sales all year round. You are welcome to stop by at anytime to buy wine from us!
As we have a small team, we're not always available to meet with you and taste through all our wines. We're a hospitable bunch, so we always do our best to help you! Sometimes it's a little chaotic round the winery, so your understanding is much appreciated! If you would like to plan a group visit or BBQ in our courtyard, please contact us. We will help in any way we can!
