Set in the breathtakingly beautiful landscape of Central Otago, Shaky Bridge Wines & Bistro serves an ‘all-day’ platter in their bistro, located adjacent to the historic Alexandra landmark of the Shaky Bridge. Other food options including bruschetta, anti-pasti, duck fat potatoes and twice fried french fries are available.
Evening bistro style dining is offered from Wednesday to Saturday, with daily blackboard specials complementing our most popular dishes.
We offer a selction of Harrington's craft beers and ciders alongside our delcious wine selections to pair with a platter of your choice of fromage or charcuterie during the day or book for dinner in the evening. Shaky Bridge Wines and Bistro is the perfect venue for those seeking a memorable Central Otago cuisine experience.
Enjoy a touch of decadence and a roaring fire in the ‘miners hut’ that serves as our bistro during the colder months. Our fires create an authentic atmosphere of rustic charm in the winter, providing an exceptional tasting experience for our award winning wines. Ample outdoor seating is available to soak in the sun on our usually beautiful Central Otago days.
We welcome small and large tour groups, by appointment, for wine tasting, vineyard tours, cellar door sales and a food and wine experience to remember. We happily cater for holiday makers, family groups, friends and business meetings.

Directions To Shaky Bridge Cafe
Driving to us? Follow the map below and look for our sign on the main highway at Little Valley Road. Follow the road across the single lane bridge to the top of the hill and turn right when you see the winery sign.
Biking to us? At the one lane bridge, take the bike trail to the left and follow the river trail under the bridge for a few hundred metres to the Shaky Bridge. Too easy!
