Pinot Noir
- 91 Points, Bob Campbell
Rich and fleshy wine with sappy tannins and some pleasant warm and spicy characters. A tad drying and lacking flesh. Perfumed, silky, sweet with great texture.
- 92 Points, Jancis Robinson, MW
Bright mid crimson. Low key, subtle, appealing perfume. Very sweet and attractive. Subtle, well balanced with a lovely texture and the acidity present only on the finish. Very charming.
- 92 Points, iWine
The 2003 Shaky Bridge Pinot is dark ruby in color with complex aromas of ripe cherry, mushroom and spices. On the palate it offers more delicious cherry fruit flavors, nicely integrated cedar/oak notes, with good acidity and a long lasting finish.
- 90 Points, Wine Enthusiast
Shows lovely complexity on the nose, blending floral notes with spice and herbs. This is light on its feet, verging on delicate, yet delivers plenty of flavor. Silky tannins and a long finish suggests this has the balance to age, despite not being a massive blockbuster. Elegant.

- 89 Points, Bob Campbell
Reasonably concentrated with candied cherry oak and fruit flavours. A touch sappy with good weight and length. Perhaps a tad tough at this stage, but has character.

The nicely fragrant bouquet shows dark cherry, plum, game and savoury mushroom characters, leading to a rounded palate that's gentle and silky, beautifully structured by fine tannins. The wine shows elegant complexity, and should be a lovely partner to rich, meaty dishes.
- 89 Points, Bob Campbell
Rich and accessible Pinot Noir with plum, dark cherry, chocolate and savoury/wild herb flavours. Quite a fleshy wine with a mellow texture.
- 88 Points, Wine Spectator
Forest floor, fresh thyme, earth and iodine notes add some complexity to the firm, crunchy and trim berry and cherry flavors. Firms up significantly on the finish. Drink now through 2026.

Pont Tremblant Chardonnay
- 91 Points, Bob Campbell
Appealing wine that's bursting with tree fruit flavours including apricot, white peach and nectarine. There's also a touch of mineral salts and spicy oak. Good weight and length with a nice balance of fruity acidity.
- 90 Points, Bob Campbell
Fine, taut Chardonnay with appealing mineral and grapefruit/citrus flavours against a toasty, nutty, bran biscuit background. Quite concentrated with a firm backbone of fine acidity. Fairly austere wine right now but with potential to open up with bottle age.
Gewurztraminer

Pretty, delicate wine with appealing fruit purity. A subtle rather than block-buster style. Off/dry but nicely balanced with a silken texture and good length. Just a tad simple and very slightly phenolic on the finish.

Devils Backbone
The Devils Backbone was a treacherous mining trail leading to the Dunstan Goldfields which was widely used in the late 1800s by our early pioneers.
Many who sought their fortune in the goldfields of Central Otago saw this trail as a pathway to their lifes riches...a small few meeting their ultimate demise.
We offer two wines in our Devils Backbone brand. Both wines provide exceptional drinking at a modest pricepoint, providing very high value. With an accent on spicy notes, there's a pleasurable decadence in each wine that brings you back for more and more.
